  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 3/4 Cup pre-cooked white corn meal
  • 4 Tablespoon peanut butter
  • 4 Teaspoon berry jam
  • 4 Cup strawberries

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine the warm water, salt, oil, and pre-cooked white cornmeal flour. Mix well and knead for two minutes with wet hands. Cover with a cloth and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into equal portions using wet hands (every 3/4 cup of white pre-cooked cornmeal will yield 4 arepas). Shape each portion into a ball, then flatten it out to form a disc. Use your fingers to round the edges. Wetting your hands prevents the dough from sticking to your fingers. The arepas should resemble hockey pucks but be a bit thinner.
