Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. / 204 degrees C.
Remove the ends from the asparagus and add the asparagus to a baking tray and season with some oil. Bake for 15 minutes.
While the asparagus bakes make the quinoa. Rinse the quinoa, then add the rinsed quinoa and water to a pot. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Cook for 15 minutes.
