  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 Pound 93% lean ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • 2 carrot
  • 2 garlic clove
  • 2 Cup spinach
  • 15 Ounce canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 Ounce tomato paste
  • 1 Teaspoon oregano
  • 1 Teaspoon basil
  • 1/4 Teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 Cup basmati rice
  • 2 Cup water
  • 1/4 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Pound asparagus
  • 1 Teaspoon olive oil

  • In a large deep pot, heat the olive oil. Add the beef and season with a little salt and pepper. Brown the meat and break it into smaller pieces with your spoon until cooked through. This takes about 10 minutes.
  • Add carrots, onions, and garlic; season with oregano and basil. Saute the vegetables and beef for 5 more minutes. Add spinach and saute one more minute.
  • Add crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Mix to combine, Cover the pot and cook on low heat for 30 minutes.
